For more than 67 years, the USO has served our troops in traditional fixed facilities as well as on the road. This year the USO is proud to take these programs and services to a higher level, with three new Mobile USOs. The Mobile USO program is designed to bring a “home away from home” directly to service members stationed in remote and isolated areas throughout the United States. These vehicles offer a comfortable place where service men and women can relax, have a snack, watch a movie or connect online with family and friends during their downtime.

In addition to bringing the traditional USO programs and services to service members, the Mobile USOs’ mobility allows local communities and organizations to come together and show their support to our men and women in uniform with the “HELLO! From the Homefront” program. This program, designed specifically for the Mobile USOs, allows the general public to sign banners and videotape messages which will be sent to service members serving in Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. The vehicles will be on the road throughout the United States, serving our men and women in uniform and raising awareness about the USO.
